WTO首位拉丁裔秘書長9月1日就任

【綜合報導】世界貿易組織（WTO）新任秘書長雅茲維多（Roberto Carvalho de Azevedo）9月1日正式上任。

亞茲維多接任WTO秘書長前為巴西駐世貿組織的代表，他也是為世貿組織的第6位秘書長，也是第一個拉丁裔的世貿組織秘書長，任期為4年。亞茲維多將在本月9日的特別會議發表就職任演說。

台灣於2002年一月正式成為WTO第144個會員國，目前WTO的會員國數目為159個。
