因現下手邊沒有資料，就簡單憑印象給個意見。
宋代給予遼代歲幣購買和平，表面上看來宋代是虧的。但如果深入探討，就會發現，宋代以很低的成本，就能維持長期的和平，且這筆錢，最後還是透過兩國互市貿易回到宋代手上(遼對宋有大量的貿易需求，但宋並沒有)，因此在宋代來講，這筆錢除了是給遼國的"安全保險"外，也同時是發給遼國的"消費券"，使遼國有更多的能力前來宋代購買消費品。
