就在為了澳洲情報機構偷聽印尼政要手機通訊，而導致兩國外交關係極端緊張之際，印尼貿易部長周二(11月26日)表示，將尋求替代澳洲的食物進口來源。

印尼貿易部長Gita Wirjawan對媒體表示，當局正在考慮各種可能性，尋找其他進口食物來源，以保障印尼的糧食安全。

印尼是澳洲產小麥、活體牲畜及牛肉的主要進口國，而澳洲則是印尼的第10大出口市場。
