織品壁紙大師William Morris　紅毛城展風華

【凃盈如／台北報導】新北市政府即日起至2014年10月31日，於淡水紅毛城領事官邸2樓舉辦英國設計大師William Morris特展。William Morris是19世紀最有影響力的設計師，尤以織品花紋及壁紙圖樣見長，更在1877年創立保護古代建築協會（The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings，SPAB）。
 
策展人羅健毓表示：「淡水古蹟博物館在淡水管理許多古蹟，如滬尾砲台、紅毛城、得忌利士洋行等，並且每年都在淡水紅毛城舉辦以歷史為主題的特展，來凸顯紅毛城的歷史地位。William Morris除作品精湛，其保護古蹟的精神也與淡水紅毛城相得益彰，故本次以古蹟保存觀點著眼，延伸展出William Morris所設計的壁紙、織品。」

其中除了可見策展單位向藏家詢問引進的19世紀中期家具，也可見William Morris國內獨家代理商Elementi（雅緻）所提供的壁紙及織品，搭配居家情境，重現大師的空間美學。
